Hello everyone. I realised that sonetimes when I sit up from a lying position or stand up from sitting, my heart rate drops for a couple of beats then starts increasing to where it should be. For example my resting heart rate is say 65 beats after I sit up it drops to 55 for a couple of beats then rises back up. This does not happen everytime and normally when I sit up it just rises as it should then regulates. I have been to quite a few cardiologists and quite often too(I have PACs and PVCs my main reason I went to see cardiologists) and they don’t seem to really find this particular problem serious. Has anybody had similar problems up on changing to a supine position. I am 27 btw don’t smoke, drink and am not overweight. I have had anxiety and panic attacks almost all my life and I am quite aware of whats going on in my body.

Sudden slow heart rate right after sitting up or standing.
Hello there! Maybe this is unusual!
I hope someone will have something to say.
Hello,
A pulse of 55 bpm is nothing to worry about - btw, I'm not a doctor, so don't take what I say as gospel - and I think on standing, especially when doing so quickly, that it's by no means unusual for the pulse to drop. It does so with me - but then I am seventy-eight and have 1st Degree Heart Block - which sounds terrible but the condition is one that usually causes no problems - although one of its characteristics is bradycardia - slow heart rate. So for me a drop in heart rate on standing might be expected. As I say, 55 bpm is okay - just keep an eye on it - and, since you speak of anxiety, don't worry about this. I don't, and I've had bradycardia for many years - enjoy your life - you sound very much okay to me.
