I thought, I was alone. I was diagnosed with Diastloc Heart Failure (irregular heart beat) the Doctor, who diagnosed me asked me, was an ER Doctor. I feel a buzzing near my heart usually 2 times a day and it usually last a few minutes.

Hello Playingpiano. No, you're not alone. There are lots of us who have irregular or fast heartbeats. Some of us have bad episodes once in a while, some have many minor sessions that they hardly notice and there's a wide range in between. Some people have irregular beats all the time.

What does your regular doctor have to say about it?

Well, it wasn't a regular Dr. that diagnosed me. It was an ER Dr. He said, I have Diastolic Heart Failure. There is no cure." I will have this for the rest of my life" was his exact words. The humming feels like a vibrating cell phone. It's the only way for me to describe it. Are you on prescription medications. If you are, can you tell me which ones. So, I can ask my healthcare provider, if that prescription is right for me and could help me.

Everyone is different and members of the forum take a wide range of medications to help them. Most of us have irregular heartbeats. You need your doctor to find what will suit you best.

I have had this sensation on and off for several years now and it is exactly as you have described it...

No one has been able to say what it is my theory is the Vagus nerve as l am particularly sensitive to food substances etc..

Eventually you get used to it - l do basic yoga stretches daily and breathing ecercises which seems to abort it and stop it in its tracks...Carol

Carol, were you diagnosed with what it is exactly. I haven't felt the "humming"/ vibrating sensation in a week. Thank, God.

Hi,no diagnosis just process of elimination and researching the Vagus nerve and it purpose..

When it first started it really worried me but funny isn't how we gradually accept things ...l can go weeks and not feel it then it comes back just lasting a few hrs than goes again..

I have also always had vivid dreams and nightmares from childhood..Again may be Vagus Nerve..

Can anyone feel the vibrating when happening ?

Carol.

It's good to know l am not alone with this by the way...

I had a mild episode earlier that lasted a few minutes. I don't have any dreams or nightmighters like you describe. I need to see a cardiologist, who might prescribe something for me.

Carol, I sure will. As of yet, I don't know what it is or what causes it. I don't know, what medications are avavailble and I asked people on here. They don't know either.
