Hi,
I have just been diagnosed with atrial tachycardia and atrial ectopic salvo runs. This came through via letter after my implantable loop recorder picked it up.
Please can anyone give me any info? There's not much online relating to adults.
Is this something that's treated? It sure feels dangerous when it's happening - is it?
What could be the cause? I'm only 31 and this is really worrying me.
Thank you for any feedback.
Hi Jellybelly,
I get atrial tachycardia and runs of ectopics (can go on for hours). The doctor and electrophysiology guys tell me it is uncomfortable but nothing to worry about, personally I hate the feeling when it happens. What treatment are you having? Try bisoprolol, Flecainide or maybe an ablation. I tried the latter and it didn’t work because got some weird reason they could not stimulate the arrhythmia. Now using Nevibolol and it seems s good solution.
My advice: stay calm and patience and keep going until you find the best solution for you.
I’m 52, have had palpitations on and off since I was 14 (had a successful ablation in 1996 for SVT) and am still here, so don’t stress too much.
Good luck.
James
