Hello, fellow sufferers. I just joined. Good to read the posts here. I just had a stv episode that lasted 1.5 hrs during the night, last night. I've had 3 ablations already. I'm not free of the episodes. Last night was more violent svt (possibly over 200 per minute) than I've had in years, woke me up. During the episode, it helped a great deal to try to keep a rational mind. I lay down, made my limbs relaxed and within 45 mins, I was ok. Has any one of you irregular heartbeats after a svt? I often have these before I have an episode and after as well. Like the heart is trying to startup a new svt. Today, I feel completely exhausted.

hello fellow sufferers
Is your pulse still irregular but mot so fast? I wonder if you have gone into atrial fibrillation? Or could these missing beats be ectopics? If you are still feeling the same I would consider it wise to seek advice at a local surgery. If you are feeling particularly unwell especially if you are experiencing any chest pain or undue breathlessness then I would have thought a visit to A&E advisable.
pulse is not fast any more, the episode was over in 1.5 hrs, but I have these irregular beats, which makes me very much notice my heart all day. I've had this often before, when I'm very tired, I can have days like this without episodes of svt but this kind or irregularity. It should be better tomorrow. I definitely feel a bit out of breath, but am very fit other wise. 51 yrs old female with 25 yrs history of svt.
Hope you feel better tomorrow then . Not a bad idea to get your irregularity recorded by ECG if possible to put your mind at rest. I have a Kardia alivecor app on my phone which is very useful to record such irregularity and can then be analysed if necessary.
I had ectopics all day yesterday and had a mild attack of svt in the night, only 120 and discomfort in my chest, I thought I was having a heart attack. I,m waiting to get appointment for Ablation from Barts. I do not know if these two things are related because mine are random. I,m 71. I go to hospital if mine are around the 200 mark because I,m afraid of stroke, I also have a mitral valve prolapse.
