Water Retention

Hi all,

I don't write & post very often, usually just read posts & see if I can pick some tips up. However, I thought I would try the one below to see if anyone has any information about it, thank in advance........

Just a little note to say where I am at the moment. I see my heart failure nurse every 3 monthsish. It usually means me going to him in a local Doctor practice, he has come to my house a few times, but not many, I get very out of breath when I travel, this does not concern my heart failure nurse, because its while I’m doing exercise walking. He only wants to know if I struggle to breath while I’m sitting at rest.

I have water retention, this is his main concern, I am on water tablets (Bumetanide) I take 2 a day. He has told me to cut back on my liquid intake, which I have done to the best of my abilities, I still like the odd couple of pints with the lads in my local. I don't think he really likes this as he tells me 1½ litres per day & I’m fed up with him as well. I would rather he concentrate on getting my pacemaker working properly, its gone from 80/90% to 30/35%, all this is due to Atrial Fibrillation or so I’m told. I am having tests for it & I’m due to see cardiologists next week 17th May.

I have had this breathing problem (out of breath, sharp pain in abdomen) now since December 2017, so you would have thought they would have sorted something out by now or am I jumping the gun?? If anyone's got any solutions I would be happy to know.
