What do you think of it? Does it look normal?

I do not understand graphs with peaks, I listen to what I am feeling in my body. You need to go to your doctor and ask for a monitor, often 24 hour monitors do not pick up the problem, you need it for longer. Quite frankly they give you beta blockers which make you feel terrible, or you live with these palpitations like I have for 43 years, I know they have a beta blocker which you take one when the palpitations are bad. I have Svt now where my heart races and has to be put back into rhythm in hospital, but this happened 12 years ago and was mild until I got older.

Beta blockers don't always make you feel bad. I am on 10mg of Bisoprol Fumarate twice a day and feel fine. I have a heart rate in the mid forties but I have no breathlessness and no problem with flights of stairs. Everyone responds differently to medication.

I do not think it suits everybody, it affected my breathing and blood pressure, I don,t take it at the moment, possible ablation when I decide.

That's what I said. To quote ' Everyone responds differently to medication'. You said to quote' beta blockers which make you feel terrible'. They don't make everyone feel terrible.

Interesting comments on here regarding beta blockers and how people react differently. I've been diagnosed with AF and have also experienced SVT a few times. After several visits to A&E over the last six months with an HB of 160bmp, I was put on to Beta Blockers daily 2.5mg Bisoprolol. They seem to work great for a few weeks and then I had two more evening sessions of AF lasting 4/6 hours each time. After visiting the docs again she told me to increase to 5mg. And after a chat, we decided to have one 2.5mg in the morning and one in the early evening to balance it out as the last AF sessions seem to happen when I was resting at evenings. My question here is.... They are making me feel very tired all the time through the day and I'm not getting much sleep now on this level of medication when I go to bed. I keep waking up after around 4 to 5 hours sleep. Wide awake and the dreams can be very intense also.

I keep a check on my Heart rate via the Kardio tool (brilliant piece of equipment) That I purchased recently. and have an HB of around 54bpm on the Beta Blockers. I'm also feeling breathless which I've never experienced before prior to the medication.

Is there an alternative medication Beta Blocker rather than Bisoprolol? I will be asking my Doc tomorrow but wondered what others have experienced on here using Bisoprolol.

Great site by the way, full of information.

Wish you all well.

Kind Regards
