Hi blackbear

Not medfically qualified, however my understanding is nothing, ICDs work on the ventricles and keep them beating, and AF of course is within the Atria.

Your atria can be fibrillating away and the ICD will control the ventria and your heartbeat

Be well

Ian

Hello Ian, Thank you for the reply. I jumped the gun. I have been searching the net and found the

Clinicians Manual for the Medtronic ICD Virtuoso 11DR. All the information I needed is in this Document which is pages long. The problem always seems to be that when you get the device

no one explains how it actually functions and I have found that if you want something done ,

especially these days you have to do it yourself. I have found that every time I meet with someone to talk about my heart they do not seem to know very much about the workings of an ICD and I have to explain it to them. I posted the question to get another take in case I had missed something and I only found this website a couple of days ago. But It has enlightened me considerably since then. Nearly 80 now and still want to know what is going on !!!!. Thank you again for taking the time to answer my query. Regards BB
