Is your HRT working?

Hi ladies

Just a post to say that my hrt patches were not a good fit for me. I was on combined patches post total hysterectomy bso 10 months ago and seems I wasnt absorbing from them, I was up to 3 x patches to cover sweats and sleep.

I had skin irritation where they were glued to me, often red square outlines, welts, cracked skin.

The Hrt clinic were able to say my estrogen at 100 was low, she said 200plus was where I needed to be Im only 40.

Seems the patches were not working for me.

My main symptom has been tiredness and depression although I was covered for sleep and flushes.

My thyroid was also bouncing about between low (hypothyroid) and bottom levels of normal.

Please dont be afraid to push your GP for thyroid tests or hormone profile tests etc, its major major surgery and our bodies can be thrown through a loop.

How on earth wd I have ever thought 3 x hrt patches on me (50's) at a time were not delivering me adequate levels of estrogen.

Please dont be behind about checking your levels if you have unwanted symptoms ongoing.

Good luck.

Helly.
