Hi, I had TAH and Bso two years ago, everything removed. I keep getting a pain down below as though something is sticking in me like a knife? Worse after bowel movement and when sitting down. Anyone experienced this?

My operation was only 5 months ago but I do still get twinges 😕 my symptoms were back and bowel problem, excruciating back spasms and constipation (sorry tmi 😕) due to large fibroids pressing on my back 😠 These things are all connected and the muscles can take up to a year to properly health. It may be worth going to see the doctor as the pain is severe.
Best wishes
Anna
Maybe they are post -surgical adhesions? After asking your doctor'spermission , you may be able to find an osteopath that specializes in gynecological issues to do therapy or massage. This is an uninformed suggestion. You might want to do some research into adhesions, though.
Yes, I'm 15 months post LAVH and BSO. I had been in a lot of pain, with heavy bleeding due to perimenopause. Adenomyosis was suspected, but surgeon found adhesions between left ovary, Fallopian tube and colon. Everything else was healthy. Was doing well right up to my 6 week follow up, then started developing nasty infections which went misdiagnosed for 6 months. GPs weren't sure what the problem was but kept on prescribing antibiotics for UTIs. 12 courses of antibiotics later and an infected granuloma was discovered on vaginal cuff. Had to have it excised and cauterised under general. That was last June, but I continued to be in pain, so surgeon did a laparoscopy and discovered adhesions between bowel and vagina cuff which he divided in September. That made a huge difference and felt fantastic at follow up 8 weeks later. Then, in mid December the pain returned. Both sides of my pubic bone, worse when sitting and aggravated by too much walking. As you say, like a knife sticking in. I don't think it's more adhesions, I think it's ligaments or scar tissue getting inflamed. I rarely have a day where I don't take additional pain killers on top of the gabapentin I take for nerve pain caused by all the surgery I've had. Going to give it another month, and if it doesn't settle I'll go back to my GP for more advice. My surgeon probably can't help any further because it's surgery that can cause adhesions, so it's a viscous circle.
