Hi, when I looked them up I found they were one of the causes of my bad digestion , so don't touch them now,
also made me have hot redrash on my face. and i'v read many more articles about how bad they are. as they are all chemically treated. the best one iv heard of is stevia i used it but still did not like the taste of it. i keep trying to stop taking sugar. when i was a little girl i did not take sugar but because of problems in my family i eneded up in childrens home. the tea was in a huge teapot with the milk and sugar added. so thats how i ended up on sugar. im still very angry about that as its so hard to stop the sugar. i cant enjoy a cup of tea now with out sugar and im a real tea jenny. i watched a programme on television not long ago saying they were not bad for you. its a load of rubbish. they are bad for you. if you knew the agenda of this government. they are now adding soya to nearly every single food stuff and 95% of soya is geneticaly modified. just like the food they feed the animals that we eat. its genetically modified. i try to be very carefull what i eat.its getting harder all the time.
Anything man made is bad for you!, you can try honey is small quantity and slowly reduce to zero.
Stevia is the only good one.
Can't find any good studies that have found any serious effects. Indigestion is very rare and I couldn't find any study that reported skin problems in people using them. If you go to the British Dieticians' website they have some reliable information there.
Try PubMed for several studies. Health effects of artificial sweeteners can be "metabolic derangement" (just the same as sugar).
