Dental shingles

Last summer I had shingles in the mouth - mental nerve distribution. I believe it was caused by the hygienist treatment - ultrasonic descaler (my feedback on this is that it feels like a pneumatic drill with a sandblaster - shell shocked after treatment). The shingles - sickening for it symptoms occurred a week after. I had 3 of these ultrasonic descaler treatments in four months. Ps I was not stressed.

First question is do you think it is possible to get shingles in this way?

Second question I do not believe I needed this amount of hygiene treatment but it was a case of 'bums on seats' and a culture of 'not questioning'. So should a hygienist query a need for treatment if it appears unnecessary/the teeth look fine?

Hygienist - Use a mirror to show the patient what are you are cleaning and therefore why you are cleaning.

Help please especially with the first question.

Re. 'jason 678' and 'Dr. Oduko'. This is very obviously an advertisement for quack 'treatment'.

The 'second-language' faulty English syntax, combined with the African-sounding name used, is reminiscent of the many 'phishing' and other internet scams to which we are subjected almost daily.

I'm surprised to see this message unexpurgated here on Health Unlocked, with no button to question or report a post to the administrators.

Thank you for this.

Fortunately for me I overcame the shingles but I was left with a tooth abscess (root canal) - quiet now.

The question was - has anyone else had shingles due to hygienist &/or dental treatment??

The above reply Jason678 is obviously an advert.
