Do you have ulcers? Many people are carrying H. Pylori but don't suffer any ill effects, and there's no need to do anything.

If you do have ulcers, the doctor will generally prescribe antibiotics. I believe it takes a few weeks to work, but it does work eventually. The reason this is not to be taken lightly is that the antibiotics cause serious damage to the useful bacteria in your body. So treatment is only advised if you have some actual symptoms.

There may be ways to modify the behaviour of H. Pylori, but dietary changes were (pre-1980s) the standard way of "treating" ulcers ... if you can use the word "treatment" for something that doesn't work. As far as I know nobody has figured out why some people develop ulcers and others don't, or what the dietary correlates are.

Did you have a stool test after Berberine that was negative? That is good . X

I paid a lot of money to have a gut test, which was a stool sample, but the nutritionalist was piling me with lots of expensive supplements, which ended up making me ill, so I cancelled my dealings with her and decided to do things on my own.

Like with anything You only need so much!

I keep topped up with Iron, Vitamin D and Zinc with copper, but most importantly supplements for low stomach acid.

Best wishes

It certainly is, thankfully there are lots of books and a library - thats how I do my research now, paying to see most people seem to be a let down

I agree . Hard to find a good one . I had a wonderful homeopath . But she moved abroad . Now see an practitioner who is very sincere and careful .

But I also do lots of research .

Nothing is straightforward . ‘Take this and it will work’ !!!

So true, these days I believe the majority do it just for the money. There are some that are geniune - I regualary see a reflexologist and a lady for Trigger point therapy - wont be able to see them for a while now

I was diagnosed with it due to low ferritin . No symptoms and I feel fine . I was reluctant to take antibiotics as I generally don’t take conventional meds .

Rang a Herbalist who has been practicing for 40 years . She said take a deep breath . Have them for once as it’s hard to get rid of . She gave me supporting herbs during and for 2 weeks after . Also high dose probiotics.

Now clear . Ferritin gone up without iron supplement .

Glad I took advice .

Not dealing with it can have all sorts off effects that don’t seem related .

Take care xx
