Hi folks,

Hope everyone had a good xmas.

Mine was OK but could have been a lot better. Illness is the big reason why. I and my folks were all ill.

Anyhow, what a way to start off 2020 with this picture I have just finished :).

Hi Matt2584

That is a lovely drawing. :-)

I am so sorry to hear that you've been ill over Christmas, and that your family were as well - I hope that you're all making a good recovery and that the New Year will be a good one.

Zest :-)

Hi Zest and thank you :).

Well I was unwell, nearly, 2 weeks before xmas but as I say got over the worst in a few days. Then my mum picked up the germs.

We were ok on xmas day but not 100% and like I said my Dad was rough on the day.

Not a very nice way to spend xmas but we’re in better health now :).

Thank you Ali :).

Xmas was good but could have been so much better if illness was not a factor :).

Yes I bet. Lots of people seem to become unwell at Christmas. Maybe it’s when people relax after being busy or stressed. Such a shame for you and your family.

Well xmas happens to sit at the forefront of the so called “flu season”.

The way I see it, it’s not flu season, it’s winter that’s all.

It just so happens that winter is colder and there are a lot more chances of bugs going around.

But that could be a part of why people become ill, not only the bugs going around but being able to relax a bit more (like your immune system is on holiday :D) or it could even be the building up of stress for some folk. Stress is something we could all do without.

Hey Matt I'm sorry that you were all ill over Christmas and I hope that you're feeling better now.

Your drawing is so life like the dog is looking into your eyes, so it's a fantastic drawing.

Jerry 😊

That’s rotten that you were all poorly over the festive season.. 🙁

Maybe you could use it as an excuse to celebrate again? 😊

Love the drawing! Is he/ she your dog?

Thank you Bong :).

Not good at all for being poorly over xmas.

Actually, we kind of did celebrate again :).

We just kind of postponed the real celebration.

We are still getting through some celebratory chocolate :).

And no, the dog is not mine. He or she belongs to a friend of mine and I thought I would be selling it to her tomorrow but she texted me not long ago and said she is not well so I won’t see her tomorrow :(.

sorry to hear you and your folks were ill over Christmas, hope you are feeling a bit better. Lovely picture of the Bull Terrier. My brother has a big brown Bullie called Zeus :) He is quite a character, he spent a lot of Christmas with his head stuck in the Christmas tree :)

Thank you Sunny :).

I like bulldogs. Them and Staffs are probably my favourites.

A lot of people around my neighborhood used to have staffies but nowadays you hardly ever see one, I suppose they have gone out of fashion. My family had a dear wee staffie cross years ago called Tara. She is fondly remembered in our family dogs Hall of Fame :)

Hi Lady,

Happy new year to you too :).

Glad you like the picture.

Tis a good way to start the new year isn’t it.

My life has got a bit busier and I am crafting as well as art so I don’t have as much time to be drawing but I am pretty sure you will see some more pictures of mine in the future... it’s just that they won’t be posted once a month :).

But this can be a good thing because I then spend a bit longer doing the drawings and the more time spent, the better the drawing looks :).

I’ll have to make a separate post of my crafting.
