I have just been advised that there has been a new article posted on the site "The Truth about food and Medicine" which is quite thought provoking. I commend it to everyone. You can find it at: healthscams.org.uk/how-food...

Thanks for posting. The only surprise to me is that this is not more widely known and observed but then it is often not until you suffer the consequences you often pay attention. Garbage in equals garbage out.
I am lucky enough to live in an area where cattle are pasture fed and ensure any product I buy is from grass fed cattle.
Hi Tibbly this is interesting and sadly we have lost touch and are working against nature so its short term gains for very long term losses...🤢
The article ignores some key points. The huge increase in meat and dairy consumption per person, for one. Also we would need 3 planet earths to feed the world pasture fed animals at current consumption rates. Also whether grass fed or grain fed animals the huge quantity of farm animals is literally destroying our planet, whether that be loss of potential carbon capture land with trees, dramatic loss of water sources due to huge water demands of farm animals or rainforest destruction. Whatever pasture fed is the domain of the rich person or someone who is lucky enough to live close to a supplier.
Oh and on top of that catalogue all meat, and I mean all meat is implicated in all cause mortality. This includes not only carcinogenic links of processed meats and red meat but also now white meata such as chicken.
There is a deluge of research showing the long term health benefits of reducing meat and dairy intake and replacing it with plants. There is NO research showing how meat improves all cause mortality outcomes.
I have no axe to grind, I present articles which I think have an interesting point of view.
I think you may have missed the point as I see it and that is that our health can be affected by the method of production. It is the health issue that I am primarily interested in.
From your post it would seem that you have a different agenda and others will doubtless see what you have said and may comment suitably.
Thanks Tibblington - I shall hope to have a read over the weekend.
Hope you have an enjoyable weekend.
