I wish they would make up their mind about eggs. We were told that they were bad for us because of the cholesterol now a Chinese study has shown they are actually good for heart health as reported in BMJ itv.com/news/2018-05-22/an-... .
Good job that I never stopped eating them.

I had to post this because of my cynical attitude on the subject of what has always been a good food becoming suddenly bad overnight and now is on the good list again. I expect in a couple of weeks that I will be reading another article on why eggs are bad for you. But we know the truth and I shall carry on eating them – free range of course.
Years ago they were bad because of the cholesterol in them, but times have changed, the chickens are fed better and housed differently these days and it has changed the outcome of the eggs. It's healthy to eat them now. Have known this for quite a while.
It would be interesting to read the evidence to back that up. I get to hear quality of chicken sold in the supermarket is quite appalling, unless of course, it is free-range.
Eggs are a great food. They are a good source of phosphor which is very good for you. In many ways they are very healthy.
I saw a nurse at my GP practice yesterday and we talked about diet. She said that their used to be advice to avoid eggs sometimes but that has long since changed. The reason is that while egg yolk does contain some cholesterol it's now understood that dietary cholesterol has little impact on blood levels - your body produces itself the vast majority of the cholesterol in your blood. So eating a bit shouldn't matter.
She did recommend eggs as well. I'm gonna buy some soon Healthy part of breakfasts.
