A lovely woodland walk/powerwalk

The weather has been lovely and dry here today albeit quite windy during the latter part of the walk, I was out reasonably early this morning and it wasn't quite so windy then. I decided on a woodland walk today and couldn't stop thinking of the first part of the rhyme:

If you go down to the woods today

You're sure of a big surprise.

If you go down to the woods today

You'd better go in disguise!

I do love that rhyme and woods are very surprising places with the different colours, scents and the birdsong, they are wonderful places.

The smell of the garlic was absolutely beautiful today, I couldn't get enough of it. I walked a little further today, more walking than jogging as I was wearing walking boots for the woods as they are a little damp but not too bad. I walked 27741 paces today which is around 13.89 miles.

We are forecast heavy rain and wind here tomorrow so I may not get out, light rain is fine but definitely not heavy rain and winds, we've had a weather warning for 50mph winds, not pleasant when it's wet.

Lovely photos and I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Wild garlic is great in a salad I love it. Hope you dodnt get too much rain in the end!

Thank you Ali. I do love the smell of wild garlic and will be glad when I can eat it again. It was a good day yesterday, no rain at all but today, well that's a different matter, it's been pouring down and very windy so no walking today.
