Not a walk but another cycle

I phoned our Holland & Barrett store which is in our city centre this morning (our city centre is around 6.5 miles away) to see if they had any spelt/buckwheat and lo and behold they did - hurray, I can now make bread that I can eat. I've been trying to find something as I cannot even eat the GF bread I made because of the almonds in it, it upset my tummy. I'm now going to go off and make some Buckwheat bread.

I'm so glad I have my bike as I don't have to use the car to get into our city centre and they were brilliant with the social distancing as they were only allowing 3 people in the shop at any one time, even better.

It's like Summer here today so hope it's good where you are in the UK and anywhere else in the world.

I didn't take any photos of the countryside today but here are a couple of my garden, this is the first year for the Weeping Willow which is coming out lovely now.

I'm glad you got what you needed after all that!

On Tuesday after my video interview I had decided to go to our local pharmacy to pick up my prescription and it was about 11.15 and at present in cardiff the pharmacies are shut to the public between 12 and 2 to give the staff time to restock so fair enough.

Anyway I had to queue outside boots and had gone there and they only had 4 tablets of my prescription of 28 and thankfully I hadn't left it late to get the item or there would have been a panic so I had taken the 4 and was given an owed slip for the rest and had gone to the park after that which I had enjoyed.

This morning I was up early and had rung boots up before going there to ask had the prescription been sorted and yes it had so off I went to boots nice and early and there was no queue to go in and handed them my owed slip and that was great and all sorted and off I went to the park after that and had a great walk again.

Next time I am due a prescription I will ring the pharmacy beforehand and ask if the item is in stock and if it isn't and I am early doing it it's not the end of the world!

I'm glad you also got what you needed. In these times it's definitely more of an effort to get what you need. I don't have a problem with queuing either as everyone has to do it and it's for our safety anyway.

Lovely that you enjoyed a walk in the park on both days as well, the weather is glorious so you don't mind. I think it's a good idea to ring beforehand to see if they have what you want, fortunately for me our doctor's surgery have their own dispensary.

In villages with no chemist they usually have what's called dispensing doctors where the doctors dispense the tablets and are pharmacists as well as doctors.

I said to the lady on the phone at the chemist that I was ringing ahead to see if the items were there as I didn't want a wasted trip out and she said how they shut between 12 and 2 at present which I knew about as it was on the health authoritys internet.

They are open at present 9.30 to 12 Monday to Saturday and then 2 to 5.30 and 12 until 3 on a Sunday but they are shut this Sunday like all the shops are which is fair enough.

I live in a village and am fortunate that our doctor's surgery has always dispensed medication.

Definitely good to ring ahead.

I think in these current circumstances it is fair enough that they are open only certain hours.
