Hi folks, as its the autumn equinox this weekend I thought I'd post this now, the first walk Bolt head is about 3 miles from where I grew up and I realise how lucky I was as I had lush countryside the seaside and lived in a market town on an Estuary.

The photo is on Whitchurch down we'd had lunch sitting at the pimple monument which's in fact an old water tower. I like Dartmoor and Bodmin moors very much.

Here's a link to photos of the pimple and the moors so have a look and get your hat and coat on and see whats outside...

Beautiful Jerry. Dartmoor is one of my favourite places. A few years ago we went on a walking holiday around the area of Mortonhampstead and I loved the feel of Dartmoor and thought it was somewhere I could live. Also I quite like walking in places that feel a bit desolate πŸ™‚

Hi Ali, the countryside sea side is amazing any weathers even storms as its Mother Nature in action. Whereas cities are drab and grey in bad weather and when I was a teenager my brother and I would go up on Dartmoor in thunder storms to watch it and be in it.

I've thought of moving to Dartmoor but am going to try Scotland first as I went to live on the edge of a city and a mountain near lochs...around the crook of Devon would be neat...

I know what you mean about places that are desolate as things don't have to be pretty to have beauty. 😊

Absolutely. Aw that’s a lovely memory. Maybe go to Scotland and then back to Dartmoor if you feel like it. My partner is great for keeping things real and he always says to me it’s not for the rest of your life it’s what your doing right now and it doesn’t have to be forever. This helps me make what may seem like big steps, achievable πŸ™‚
