Does altitude make a difference?

At 7,200ft do I need to do the suggested minimum time for a healthy aerobic exercise or does the more effort required at this altitude compensate?

Answering my own question:  as I have acclimatised to the altitude, I do indeed need to do the required minutes per week to have a healthy heart.
