We are pleased to announce the launch of two new Headway factsheets - and we'd like to hear your views on them.

Coping with hemiplegia and hemiparesis discusses the effects of paralysis or weakness of one side of the body, which often occurs after brain injury, especially after stroke. The factsheet offers practical advice for coping with the effects of this.

A guide to the Mental Health Act in Scotland discusses this important Scottish legislation, which establishes arrangements for the detention, care and treatment of people with a mental illness or related condition, including acquired brain injury.

We hope these two new factsheets will provide some useful information for people - and we would really like to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Alternatively, contact Richard Morris, our Information Officer, on 0115 924 0800 or info.officer@headway.org.uk to discuss these in more detail.

If you would like us to send you printed copies of these or any other factsheets we offer, please send us a private message on here with your address or contact our helpline on 0808 800 2244 or helpline@headway.org.uk.

Thank you for your help!

Headway.
