Hi I'm new here.

I have had a real mix of injuries. I don't recall being sensitive to sound. As someone in makes the noise in the area look silent. I'm now, my sense of smell is skewwhiff. My speech went really odd. Without any knowledge why. I can't remember information like I used to. I look perfectly normal.

I went through noise,bright lights,memory loss,speech problems,mobility

Kind regards

I'm very sensitive to sound, light and smell. I don't have a brain injury, but many people are reporting having the same symptoms. My brother who suffered a brain injury many years ago can hear a truck coming from miles away. He's also sensitive to salt, smells, light and being around people.

You're not alone!

My brain injury happened a long time ago, but I have noticed I'm a lot more sensitive than others around me. Any anxiety sets me right off. My injury affected mostly the left-side of my body, so I tend to find it 'jumps' a lot if someone comes up behind me and I'm unaware, or sitting in a movie and, embarrassingly, my left-side jumps when there is silence to sudden noise.

My vision is sensitive, noises seem 'louder', light is brighter, heat makes me tireder, multitasking overwhelms me and affects the expression of my face and functioning of my motor-control, and my memory varies a lot.

Everything you described happens with a brain injury. Of course it depends a lot on the areas of injury, but you get the idea.

The effects are many and confusing. Hopefully they repair themselves over time but sadly not all do. Noise gets me in very confusing ways and I can fly off the handle for seemingly insignificant issues that are noise related. Otherwise in terms of most such sensory issues I'm fortunately not too bad!
