I've seen lots of posts on here about how hard it is to get professional support or find GPs etc who have any understanding at all of brain injury. That's certainly been my own experience over the past few years with my partner since his hypoxic injury.
I just thought I'd mention a resource I've found on Facebook - the Brain injury and Cognitive Rehabilitation Group (don't know how to post a link, sorry, but if you put that in the search it should find it).
This is a support group run by a lady with extensive experience working in the field of brain injury over 20 years plus. She holds a weekly Q &A on Facebook for any questions about brain injury, which is both live streamed and recorded, and has lots of helpful advice and insight. She also provides resources to support with fatigue which seems to be an issue everyone struggles with.
It's also a useful space, much like this, to be able to gain peer support from others with brain injury and share your experience.
