The Sunak government announced in 2024 that the PIP system is to be overhauled.

Keep in mind we now have a different government and this might change.
It's odd to find that the PIP system in England and Wales are controlled by Westminster. BUT.
PIP in Scotland is not called PIP, it's called ADP (adult disability payment) and is controlled by the Scottish government.
In NI it's called PIP but is controlled by the department for communities of NI. All you have to do is send in the medical evidence to get it.
So there are 3 different systems in the UK.
This means the overhauled system only includes people in England and Wales.
What it proposes to do is remove mental health conditions as a disability.
