merry Christmas everyone, we had quiet time, just how we like it, until Christmas night when I started with upset stomach until four o’clock, despite numerous tests not been able to solve the cause and then on Wednesday night we get hit by a tornado in our little village of Carrbrook, in Stalybridge, fortunately our house is fine further up the road was not so lucky, here’s hoping new year is a little quieter, happy new year everyone love Alice xx

Oh yes, I saw footage of the tornado in Stalybridge on last night's news. You were so lucky to have escaped the catastrophic damage of houses further along

Really shocking and, as one houseowner stated, the devastation took only seconds from start to finish. And one boy was only spared serious injury (or worse) by a bunk bed.

I hope you're not too spooked by events m'love ....and that your stomach upset is over & done with !

Hi Cat, I get the stomach upset every couple of weeks can’t seem to find what’s going on, but it’s annoying, with no warning. As far as the tornado goes hopefully that’s it, as long as we’re not going to be tornado alley as in America, then that’s fine, it didn’t last long, it was strange houses lost there roofs but next door there were dust bins or trampolines in the garden untouched, you just feel really sorry for the ones hit bad,fingers crossed they get help.

Those families need urgent support with alternative accommodation and in the rebuilding of their shattered homes. I hope insurance companies will pull out all the stops to do the right thing...

I worked in Stalybridge for a while in the 80s ; lovely town.

After many months I learned that my gut issues were due to gall stones ; such a relief saying goodbye to my gallbladder ! I hope you'll get to the root of your own problem soon Alice.. x
