My close friend is now nearly off sedation and breathing on his own at last. Dr's have told us that this is good progress and when the sedation is completely lifted, to wean him off life support. He hasn't woken up yet

Such promising news Purple. The more gradual approach to lifting sedation is obviously working for him.

Everything crossed for a stress-free awakening and ongoing progress ! Please keep us updated.... x

Fantastic news but dont be surprised that coming off life support is only the beginning and many things may need to be relearnt. Patience is a virtue and try not to overload or overehelm your friend.

So be prepared for a long journey, but at least there is progress which is good.

Stay positive. We are here with you.
