Hi Sophiemorgan

My daughter now 26 went into cardiac arrest 2019 out of hospital - down time 30 mins and now had severe brain damage. This is a club none of us want to be in and it is so stressful not being allowed in to see her. I am worried and anxious as she was transferred from hospital due to covid 19. She has a downstairs room so I can see her through the window but they do not understand the complex needs. We have to hang in there this cant go on for ever xxxx

Sophie and Lunaa, I just wanted to offer my best wishes & kind thoughts to you both.

Sophie, can the nursing home staff not accept calls from you and allow your daughter to listen to you voices for a few minutes at least, for occasional reassurance...…...or even send recordings she can listen to repeatedly ? x

Such a shame, especially as small devices are easily disinfected. It's such a harsh time for many, but especially those separated from loved ones at times of great need. Thinking of you.....

Hi Sophie

This seems very harsh and shows that different nursing care homes are following different rules

What about keeping a small diary ofhow you are doingeach day during this difficult time and then you could read it to her once the ban is lifted

Have you tried talking with your daughter's consultant x
