well guys,i would hate to deny you all further laughs at my expense(Andrew,i will not be making any more jam!)let me explain,i havnt had a working oven for 3 years,im no nigella...when i decided to reclaim the pit of terror,a.k.a seans room which has artex walls and had not been decorated for 7 years,i perhaps underestimated;1/the amount of paint/work involved,2/my advancing years,even my toes are aching!3/the dog who has to be included in all i do...took him for walk this morning,glorious sunshine.i had some vases and a wicker chair i wanted to spray paint took them outside(you know what im going to say dontya?)socks was sporting a rather fetching bright green and silver tinge,most of which ive scrubbed off him so he under stairs sulking and wet.he doesnt know but on mon he has app at the new grooming shop thats just opened so next few days are not looking good for him...i am now going to attempt putting up new curtain poles,how hard can that be right?...watch this space...xx

It must be an Autumn thing D. Despite a poorly knee I suddenly became obsessed with 'sorting out' starting with the cellar a couple of weeks ago, and now I can't stop ! It took a whole week sorting through mountains of stuff then adding & painting shelves, visits to tip, scrap metal merchant and charity shops. Now it's my bedroom wardrobes & drawers (I'm enjoying my new ruthlessness in disposing of everything surplus to requirements).

Maybe you should've let Sox 'strut his stuff' with his new silver & green coat to be the coolest, trendiest dog on the block........😁

Hope your upcycling projects were a success though m'love ; It's pretty satisfying updating old items and giving them a new lease of life. Xx

old beside cabinet is now painted white and drawers 3 of them light,darker,and dark green,handles spray painted silver(hence socks)with silver butterflies behind,beryl cook montages on panels x 6 cupboard.looks good i think.just need a carpet now and possibly dressing table(ive done chair green,again,socks)have bought 2 bedside tables/lamps,but i prefer to "upcyle" so a visit to nearest place this week i think,love lesleyxx

hi ali,omg,i dont need to leave house to get in trouble!seans key worker rang last night and i was telling her about dog,half hour later sean facetimed me and asked why i was painting the dog?he knows(knew)how i am,so dont blame him for thinking the worst,one time i was doing my nails so did his too,sean went beserk,they were bright red,he wouldnt take him for a walk for days...i just hope love that i can make you all smile a little bit,that makes me happyxx

My partner and I regularly walk at lunchtimes and meet the farmer’s collie, Tara, a friendly wee thing. The farmer had been repainting the doors on the farmhouse and Tara now has a blue bum 🤭
