I had to fight and struggle to get assessed, was shocked at the lack of knowledge within my health authority.

I'm looking at furthering my knowledge on behaviour techniques spoke to course leaders to double check doing the course is right. They have confirmed it is right but its funding it's all related to meeting my husbands needs for life, could I get financial support for this from nhs or would I need to sort out privately.
You'll need to look the studentships and go through their process I guess. Just contact them.
I posted this mainly for people looking to find a neuro rehab unit to get assessed. What they do sounds good and may help people. You idea sounds good too. The more people who know the reality of brain injury directly or as a 'carer' and get involved in the system the better I say.
Good luck.
Hi Pinkvision, this sounds fascinating. Do you have personal experience of it? I did have a look, but couldn't see anything any how long you would have to go for, or how many visits - do you know? I'd have to work quickly, and my husband is 64 now, the cut off age. Thanks, as always. X
Hi, I have no experience, but thought in finding this it needed to be shared.
