Hi, I got this one for Ian, but he finds some of them really hard. Thanks for reminding me if it, I must get on his case again!I can't really add any, because most of what I get has been recommended by you anyway. I do think the Designs for strong minds app is good, it cost about £30 I think, but he's still working through the games so think it was worth the money. Also Lumosity which is free, we've both done that for years. X
I have a friend with MS, she found anagrams impossible to do, so she sat with anagrams everyday for an hour. After six months she could easily do 8 letter ones and get every variation. She said it totally changed her life, she became a lot more organised with everything. It's as if the repetitive practise of the rearranging and reorganising of letters into words transfered onto all the other things in life she needed to do.
All the different techniques people find difficult at first may be the key to finding ways to improve. Do the hard stuff till you find it easy. May be the hard stuff are the bits of the brain that are broken and by practicing you fix your brain.
Brings a new meaning to having a sesh on the 'hard stuff.'

I'd suggest, 'The Brain That Changes Itself' by Norman Doidge. It's a heavy hitter but incredibly fascinating and I found it positive and optimistic about a life potentially without an overload of medication (my biggest goal!) and an understanding of what's going in different cases.
There's a free app I found interesting and helpful as well called 'Elevate' which has an icon of a head and inner blue brain inside a blue hexagon. Little progress or continued levels show where your head is at and it's varied in the tasks that are available.
