Is it really appropriate to post a tinted nude pic of oneself on this platform?
Just a thought.

Why would someone want to do that? I honestly can't imagine.
I don’t know. Spideyman may know the answer. With respect, I do find it to be a bit unsavoury.
Hightide, I'm guessing you've come across something risqué somewhere on Headway ? Maybe I've missed it but haven't seen pictures of anyone in a state of undress. Can you elaborate m'dear ? 🤔 x
Am I right in thinking it was the art installation namely 'The Sea of Hull ' ? x
I actually hadn't noticed Spidey's profile picture ! Now I see it's an extract from 'The Sea of Hull' art installation which he took part in some years ago. It was a truly innovative project by a celebrated artist Spencer Tunik. If you Google the title you'll see how Tunik had directed thousands of naked people painted blue of green to represent various views of the sea.
Not everyone's cup of tea but once I ignored individuals and viewed each scene as a whole the effect was pretty stunning. Daring yes, but quite touching that so many folk of all ages found the courage to participate (and brave the cold for hours) to create something so unique. 😏 xx
It doesn’t show anything and it shows I’m still getting involved after a stroke.
It’s shows the Sea Of Hull and I thank you for your concern
Oh...now I get it. Thank you cat & spideyman for your clarification. I was viewing the pic, out of context. And I wasn’t aware of the back story to this. It all just seemed a bit too much. Maybe it’s just my vivid imagination.
Spidey, you certainly were brave to go nude in public, for the Sea of Hull art installation. It would have been an exhausting day too. I wonder, how did you go with removing the aqua paint afterwards? Lucky I don’t look in the windows of Marks & Spencer’s...
You’re right Cat, Spencer Tunik ‘s art does generate a lot of interest and discussion. Including this forum. I had a look at google and the co-ordination that was involved for the group photo shoot in the streets of Hull is truly amazing.
Yes m'love, I watched the whole footage of the day with Tuck directing scenes from a rolling platform (and many folk shivering from the cold). I couldn't help feeling impressed and a bit emotional from seeing the scale of the operation and the devotion and camaraderie of the participants.
And seeing them making their way home hours later, some still wearing their paint beneath clothing, and clearly satisfied at their involvement in something so unique was quite touching.
Cat x
It is like most things in life, it depends on the intent was behind the post or comment.
The picture is more of a positive picture rather than voyeurism. Indeed there are quite a few naked cycle rides across the UK which surprisingly are attended in the majority by women and don't suffer any incidents.
There has been a lot of work on people shedding their clothes and when the have over come their initial awkwardness received a sudden boost of confidence which has lasted well beyond the activity.
Not that I am suggesting that all our posters, suddenly strip of and parade around the streets. Don't think we have the climate for that - which did surprise me about Hull even in July!
No
Have you even read the conversation Headshrink ?
Chill dude. I had already written no before i saw the whole thread
Ok
I'd never heard of this - quite fascinating Spideyman - just looked it up - very cool pictures on the web. Very brave to go for it. Must confess I would have been utterly freaked out about laying down on the pavement. Was everyone spray painted? Wasn't it freezing??
Thank you everyone for your input. Much appreciated.
I had completely misunderstood the meaning of spideyman’s profile pic. Good on you for actively participating in Spencer Tunick’s large photo shoot. That takes a lot of guts to do.
So, I will go now and continue to admire fine art. It helps to heal the damaged brain.
