Hi everyone, I am doing a podcast with 3 others that have all had Brain / head impacts and are all experiencing similar problems and discuss these based on situations in every day life.
We cover topics of memory, anxiety, work, behaviour & social change. This is to help others as we all volunteer out time to do this.
This is available on Spotify but also on other apps. I have attached a link here:
Very brave, yet interesting, (although I only listened part 1 so far). Good on you all for raising it and the associated issues. Manchester being my adopted home having lived there for eight years, all the places mentioned are familiar as are some of the issues raised. 👍
I am loving this podcast. Myself and my sister in law have both been listening. It's just something that family members esspecially could find useful. I was listening to the one about Xmas and special occasion type things becoming something which can be quite stressful and why. The thought had never even crossed my mind. Early days yet for us, but we want to learn and understand as much as possible, esspecially what it's like from "the inside" so to speak. My husband may be affected in different ways, but gives us a bit of a running start on what he may need help with, but not so that he feels "managed" as he hates that. Also information on what could fatigue someone with a brain injury. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.🙂
Hi there, I’m so glad it’s helping and hope you can share it with others too. We are trying to share our experiences in the hope it will help others 😊.
Absolutely. I have plans to share with some of our family friends in the future, just so they also have a bit of a handle on things or a bit of a better understanding. So thanks again, I'm finding it a valuable resource.
