It’s been so hot the past 2 days here in Manchester & I’m finding it hard to cope. Constant headache, dehydrated & extra fatigued.. I’m drinking plenty of water and carrying out breathing exercises but it’s too hot for me. 🥵
Is anybody else affected by the heat/sun?

Definitely! I have always found the heat affects me quite badly, even as a young child. I am prone to heat exhaustion if I am not careful. Now I have ongoing fatigue from my ABI anyway, the heat is really hard to take. I have stayed in today and I gather it will cool down a bit tomorrow. Hope you get some relief from the heat soon. 😰🌸
Yes, I think lots of people are affected in different ways by air pressure changes, but some people look at you as if you are mad if you mention it. It's pretty obvious it would affect humans, given all the different types of fluids in our bodies. 🤔🌸
I went out and it was very hot 28 I think, walked up a hill, very slowly and on top nearly got blown off and soon cooled down. I was very surprised as I'm definitely not able to go to the likes of Spain again. I had water and there's a shack/cafe so sat down outside and sipped a very cold drink.
It's been too hot during the night but nice and cool in the house now, cup of good old tea at my side.
I feel the pain for those suffering, as I did go to Spain, 3 years ago and it was the worst holiday ever.
It has been hot through the night but I’m not able to sleep with my window open as I can be sensitive to noises 🙄 even the slightest noises especially at night when it’s quiet.
The need for is not recommended and you need a hexagon espresso in the morning but 45mg Mirtazapine would solve that problem, you can read the horror stories on line.
Same here in Bristol. The heat has triggered a bout of cluster headaches, I had three yesterday & one this morning. I was unfortunate enough to have a faulty injector pen, so couldn’t administer my meds. Thankfully I have dual treatment and my home oxygen worked by itself and new injections have been ordered. *phew*
I'm sitting between two 18"pedestal fans and still struggling ! I keep hearing the word 'Glorious' and wonder whether that makes me a freak 'cause I find it torturous ..........🥵 x
Me too Wazza, and I try really hard not to be a wet lettuce. I sat distanced with 5 other people on my daughter's lawn on Tues as it was her birthday and I wanted it to be a bit special.
So I took a cake & we'd all brought our own drinks, so we sat in the blazing sun for 4 hours and it was (apart from the burning red ball overhead) very relaxed and amusing.
I'm glad I stuck it out without any hint of a frown, but the headache that night and the following day was the inevitable price ! 😏 x
It's like an ongoing thing all the time and i live on a mediterranean island as well.
Over the years the looks i've had from people thinking i'm mad(crazy,yes...lol) when i say the weather's going to change because heat and air pressure make's me feel i'm going gaga & it comes and goe's all the time during the day!!!
I suffer basically all year round & as i'm writing this we are starting a mini heatwave again so you just feel like doing nothing and at the moment being on furlough doe's not help even though our restrictions have been lifted for a while now.
It's turned me into a lazy sod & then you read where all these people have started new hobbies, blitzed their homes etc etc etc.......thinking i'm turning into a recluse....lol(**,)even had a bash at baking still not my forte & it's easier to buy a cake...lol
I used to be a real sun bunny always had to have a tan now i go out init and after 30mins that's enough & the next day i'm like can't be bothered to do anything!!!
Drinking tons of water helps but then there is only so much water we can drink,i add cucumber, mint or even lemon to add abit of flavour which is really nice.
I was struggling at work with the heat and humidity. What helped was being told to do a load of strumming in the woods. There was a big grassy patch in the full sun that was a killer but the shade generally of the wood was a life saver! Plenty of water and a few sit downs between strimmings git me through. Glad the weather has passed now thankfully.
