Just been to M&S and bought myself bargain hot cross buns in the sale.

I was quite happy eating away, when my daughter said "yuk what are these".

I hadn't read the label properly, 4 Chilli & cheese hot cross buns !!! Oh well they look good, so obviously the rest of them are for me.

Until my wife had her head injury, I didn't know that she was dyslexic and dyspraxic even though we had been together for 40 years. Then every thing sort of fell into place - why she made a spanish omelette with radishes instead of tomatoes and the most surprising and unexpected, a cinnamon cake with a cup of paprika(hungarian chilli) instead of cinnamon !

Did you ever watch Vicar of Dibley? Remember the old lady putting anchovies in cakes etc etc? Sometimes I feel my cooking is a bit like that. I feel sorry for the "guinea pigs" I cook for, they can never be sure what they're getting, but I'm fine as long as it has texture I'll eat it!
