Hypoxic brain injury 6 months after cardiac arrest

Hey.

It's now 6 months since my mum had a cardiac arrest and suffered 3 parts hypoxic brain injury.

My mum is still unconscious and we don't know if she is still in a vegative state or minimally conscious due to the medication she is on currently.

We're still waiting for a bed at a Neuro rehab clinic too.

My mum opens her eyes, follows us and the nurses and focuses her eyes too. However over the past 5-7 days my mum opens her eyes and then they go wide (maybe in realization?) And she is doing this more frequently as the days go on.

Has anyone any experience with this, and could it be a sign my mum is finally waking up or moving closer to the next level of awareness?

Looking forward to hearing your responses x
