Neural rewiring via mindfulness.

I attended an orientation meeting for a 'mindfulness based cognitive therapy' course last night. This is private and not available on the NHS, however the brain injury unit I'm a patient at highly recommends doing it. The cost is £260.

The course was originally designed to change brain patterns for people with depression, stress and anxiety.

The group of people attending have mixed issues, I am the only BI there.

I will keep you all updated.

I think that I did a course similar to it when I had m.e or chronic fatigue syndrome. It gets you out of the stress state,

I find it all hard to do now I've got a brain injury. Sometimes I do mindfulness relax and it calms my mind down to think more clearly. My thinking gets a lot more fuzzy when I'm anxious about doing things and I give into the fear about it all.

Good luck with your course 😀

Mindfulness has been amazing for me. CBT has nothing but positivity as well. I got mine privately too. It's changed my life completely. I'm a new person now. Good luck and take it seriously. It's worked for me.
