Feeling very mildly "morning after a session" have to be on my guard at work. Not " come out" about my condition & never will. Love my different career. Any others hiding within a pretend normal in a job..? Hope I'm not sounding rude, not meant to be

Yes Ghost. Long before my BI, I worked for years for a Home Office department whilst struggling to keep panic attacks either hidden or under control.

It caught up with me eventually when I was returning from an assignment involving an 80 mile round trip ; I pulled onto the hard shoulder with an almighty attack, but was lucky enough to be rescued by passing police officers in a patrol car.

I never admitted to the problem because I was too embarrassed but left a job I absolutely adored and colleagues with whom there was mutual respect and affection.

I do sympathise with your plight Ghost and, although there are concessions available for return to work after illness or injury, it's a personal decision whether you choose to reveal your issues. It's a hard road you've chosen, but so long as you feel you can continue without harming yourself or others, I wish you luck in sticking to it. Take care. Cat x

Hi Ghost, are you afraid of what your work colleges will say? Sad you can’t share with the people who should be their to support you during good and bad times.

But it’s important you do what’s right for you Love Liz x🌹

I had Epilepsy since 14 when it was time for me to work People looked at me like "Oh she'll be no good" So I decided when I got a job nobody would know at 16 I worked in a Nursery with children above a laundry, After the woman got to know me I told her I had the occassional seizure /Fit but I'll know as I have them bed times or first thing in mornings. She told me her Daughter had them also. I was an excellent time keeper did my work and took kids over the park never once had a seizure at work. Worked their for 3 years and I left to move back with Dad. Parents had split up. I loved my job and the woman as a leaving pressie gave me an Irish ring 2 hands holding a heart claddagh ring it is called ? We said bye but I remember those days with love and laughter XXXX Would never have chanced going in but I wanted to go to work as I loved it and the older children used to teach me their songs also, and we did concerts xxxxx
