Brain shrinkage!!!

My bfs brain had shrank! He suffered from a tbi, build up of cerebral spinal fluid, and bacteria in the cerebral fluid (with the medically treated already) can anyone relate to a shrunken brain?

I know when I was first given information about my brain injury, later I had questions, which the consultant seemed very happy to explain at my next visit, being a good TBI I'd written a list.

I'm not sure what a "Shrunken brain" actually means in this context, it a common symptoms of too much alcohol but I strongly suspect we're talking about a significant difference, that only a Neurologist can explain.
