He has recently been suffering from out bursts at the smallest of things even asking what he wants for breakfast. Only today has he admitted hes never dealt with the emotional trauma of what happened and im lost how to best help
you cant help because he doesnt know when hes going to have an outburst and if you tell him he wont remember it.
you may also find hes noise intollerant and doesnt like crowds.
one suggestion i would make is look up your local monthly headway group, hell meet people like us and youll meet the angels who have to put up with us.
Its very true he never remembers what hes said and why im upset i no its not his fault so i try not to take it personal.. thank you i will have a look for headway groups
Hi Novo88, it is a crazy old experience living with a TBI and trauma contributes to many of the main issues, I put a website together with all my learning from the experience which you might find useful, you can find it here - braininjuryftp.com
it doesnt let you read it, anyway ordinary people cannot understand what its like to have a brain injury unless theyve experienced one and thats the last thing wed curse anyone with.
