Caring for TBI family member...

Hello

My name is Manisha. I am new to this group. My husband suffered a TBI in 2009. Since then our life has changed. I a his registered unpaid carer. I would like to know the family members with the situation to exchange some experience and to move life forward. And love to share my experience too if it helps to save a family relation.

Thank you for the reply.

you may not be, but your husband can claim pip as it doesnt matter what youre earning.

phone dwp and get a form, make an appoinment with citizens advice or social services who will help you fill the form.

you also need to apply for esa, although you wont get a payment, they will pay your husbands national insurance stamp.

Sorry to have confused you. He is receiving DLA at the moment. I will definitely try National Insurance stamp which I am unaware of. Thank you for your suggestion.
