I had a medical assessment conducted by a physiotherapist. I think i knew more about medicine than her.

I was told that as id suffered a brain haemorrhage then i should have had an assessment from a doctor.

I was also put in a work related activities group and i should have been placed in a support group (which is more money)

hey spidey i had my assessment done by a nurse, despite having documentary evidence from my psychiatrist that the med i was on was responsible for my obesity and i was waiting for an appointment with the neurologist she still marked me as well fed.

im deaf in my left ear, but instead of wearing a hearing aid, i prefer to lip read, i marked down for that for being attentive.

i asked for them to look at it, even marked out the pages of psychiatrists report for them so it wasnt too difficult but i still ended up with standard rate.

Many of the assessments are done by physio's and OT's if not screened out as needing a doctor. I guess its a money issue again as they would have to pay a doctor more so couldn't employ Dr's to do all.
