He's not heavy, he's my brother

braininjurythepits profile image

Fifteen years ago, my brother survived brain tumour surgery. two years ago he lost his hearing and it became difficult for him to walk, and earlier this year he was diagnosed with a slow bleed on the brain. Currently he is in hospital with a broken hip, incontinence, and a diagnosis of dementia. His wife wants him home, but cannot cope on her own -- we want to find a full time home carer but don't know where to start. Any experiences, recommendations would be greatly appreciated - they live in north London. Thank you 😊

If he is in hospital they usually assess and provide care package based on your brothers need . Talk with the nurses and manager they might give you advice.
