What are you interested in? Are you thinking of a hobby where you go out and do things like bird watching or fishing...or are you thinking more about a creative hobby where you make something?

There are hundreds of options and its best to start with what interests you and seeing if it is something you can do (that you are physically able to do and have the space to do it) and that you can afford to do...because some hobbies (not all) can work out expensive if they need equipment or materials.

So what interests you?

A hobby where you are doing something of benefit to others would give you an extra dose of "happiness" chemicals released in your brain. For example, repairing bicycles to donate to underprivileged kids. A local charity might have some suggestions.

Have you ever wanted to learn to play a musical instrument? I've started playing the guitar and it's great for exercising parts of my brain and body that weren't great after my neurosurgery.

It's never too late to start learning and if you develop enough both you and those around you will enjoy and benefit from your new skill 😊

What's wrong with the bus? I've had to use public transport for the last 50 years thanks to being left epileptic after my TBI.

Why don't you startup a group of some sort, chat group, support group, book club, or music club!

skedogg photography a good start with everyone having a camera on their phone these days and if you have an i phone you can buy go on line and buy a wide angle telephoto kit at a reasonable price.

Photography is a great suggestion...it combines the creative aspect with the option to go out or stay in and allows you to focus on aspects of something as well as the whole of it and you have an end result...and it needn't cost a fortune either.

For things you can do without going out ...possibly one of the best(and worst) resources online is youtube...you can find video tutorials on almost anything. It has a wide variety of options but some of the videos are pretty awful in terms of quality and clarity and you can lose hours on you tube...but you can click out of anything that does not interest and can save things that do interest and go back to them later.

Pinterest is a great place for creative project ideas but again you can lose hours on there and the search filters are not always as good as you might hope.

I have a notebook filled with ideas of things I want to try and I have a creative jar filled with projects I already know how to do but haven't got round to them yet..so when I am at a lose end with no specific project in mind I just dip into the creativity jar and do whatever it says on the tag I pull out.

If as you say, you find yourself unable to stick with one thing then maybe choosing a variety of projects to start with might help you find your way. Good Luck in your hobby hunt... hope you find something fabulous soon.
