Janet! Hello stranger, how are you doing?

I'm fine Andy, smug'll so. I know I'll be up and down but very good at the moment.

Not enough hours in the day when I can function well, but I make the most of those that I can.

Contemplating volunteering at the hospital where I was treated, see if I can make it easier for patients with brain injury, it can be a lonely place I know.

The decision has yet to be made, I know I have to look after me too.

Great video Andy. 👍

I do watch all of your videos, and enjoy them for the informative information you share. But I think for those who don't have a brain injury it must seem that you may not appear happy. It's a bit like just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. (Referring to unseen brain injury....versus unseen smiles.)

My end to 2016 was cxxp

Along with my brain injury I also had severe asthma (long time sufferer) and a bout of pneumonia, along with a broken foot sustained in November 😕

So Andy it was great to watch your video and see all your happy times. Because your video made me think of all the lovely times and happiness I have had and continue to have since B.I Like you I wouldn't change anything post B.I, the life I live today is wonderful and far different and in many ways better to pre B.I..

I may have ended 2016 on a bummer (excuse my French) But I can assure you 2017 will be a VERY HAPPY ONE for me and hubster too

Keep on keeping on with the videos

Take care, stay happy and keep smiling

(even if the smiles are unseen ☺️)

Bloody hell, you've been through it too! The film almost seems as if I made it directly for you, with regard to the asthma, etc.

I hope this year is a much better one for you and don't forget...

Keep smiling! :)

Just watched your video while having breakfast and I do feel it's all down to...yet again....the horrible subject of.....invisible illness!

Until anyone has been on the journey or been in close contact with someone with a bi I really believe they just don't get it...there's so little understanding about it. Even those close to us do not realise that although sometimes we may participate in activities, social events etc, it does not mean that we are like them...free of weird feelings, muggy heads, painful ears etc, while we are there... which is why we often choose not to participate as it may be a particularly bad day for us...this however does not mean we are not happy people nor does it mean that we are not appreciative of still being alive.

I do think we may come across as being unhappy to some people as we don't have the same energy and lust for excitement as we once did as we know only too well that overdoing things leads to yet another bad day!

I think we may need to just resign ourselves to the fact that we can only try to explain this for so long to certain folk as to constantly battle to get others to understand in itself is very draining!....It's a sad world that sometimes we feel the need to explain to others what exactly goes on inside our head or with our bodies but that doesn't mean we are unhappy that just means that some of us feel they need to educate others about how life is after a bi!

Obviously we wouldn't choose to have a bi but it def has allowed us to learn what life is like from a bi survivors side.

If people choose to think maybe we are all unhappy people now then I say it's their own ignorance, if people choose to think it must be quite tough for us but realise that we do try our best, then I say thank you for trying to understand, if people say we could do better than we do, then I say...walk a mile in our shoes!

I believe there is a correct answer to it all...."You are not entitled to your opinion....you are entitled to your informed opinion, no one is entitled to be ignorant!"

xx

My favourite film to date! It isn't always easy to recognise our blessings (nor is it easy to remember to count them), but you've shown there can be treasures & joy in everyday.
