As you can see in the picture, my glasses are attached to a cord. It reminds me of "Murder she wrote" or something like that.
Usually I do not wear a cord because I don't need a cord.
Tomorrow I am going on a sailing trip that was set up by my local Headway group. They were in talks with the Jubilee Sailing Trust and have got some service users, including myself, to go along on this trip.
I have been given info on what clothing I should wear and such and also to wear a cord as I wear glasses. Just in case they get blown off I should imagine.
I have been told to wear a hat or sun screen to protect me from the sun.
Well, I am definitely not going to put on sun screen, sun block, suntan lotion because that can do more damage to your skin.
I want my skin to soak up those healthy rays given off by the sun and instead, I shall wear a hat... A pirates hat to be exact :).
You read that right... And I have a bandana and eye patch to go with it :).
Aaarrrgh, me hearties!

When I was first told about this trip, it sounded like it was going to be me and another friend from Headway going and maybe a few of the Jubilee sailing crew.
I thought it might be an alright kind of day out on a boat.
But this week I found out more about the trip. The kind of boat/ship we were going on, there are more service users going and more Jubilee crew than I thought as well.
Plus it sounds like we are getting a lot to eat as well.
I read in their brochure yesterday that they do holidays as well. There was one: Southampton to Lisbon and back in 15 days.
I,m not a massive fan of sailing but I have been sailing a few times and thankfully I do not get sea sickness :).
Enjoy your adventure and follow the X when you get to Treasure Island !
It's gala day where I live- have just watched the procession , yes, there was a pirate float ! and I'm off to see the stalls with my pieces of eight ! Live music later too : )
Will be taking my waterproof though-looks like a storm brewing here.
I hope the weather is nice tomorrow too. I did here at the begining of the week that the weather would be rubbish tomorrow :(. I hope that is not the case though.
