Sounds a good recovery , chocolate always for me saves the day. pre BI I did not care for chocolate, was a cheese girl, but now I am a chocolic. Apparently happens with frontal lobe damage. I am wittering on now! Glad hubby was not admitted. is he okay now?

Hi Razy. Glad your man's ok. Still, it's an ordeal these days waiting to be seen in A&E. Last time for me was 6 hrs with my daughter and we were transferred to a different waiting area after 4hrs to get round the 4hr maximum waiting time in the A&E dept !!

Pity that GPs can't take more of the strain considering the massive salaries they earn, compared to the pittance and long hours hospital staff adhere to, year in-year out.

To be fair, I don't need any time in A & E to have a day like that :)

Best wishes

Yup interesting. But pity chocolate tastes awful for you!

Weird: I've gone off chocolate! Used to eat some most days. Think it might be the stress but they say it's good for that? Dunno, but first time in my life not buying/eating choc. But CAKE = yes, and cookies. Feels like chocolate too greasy for me at mo,my guts bad with stress, must take GREAT care what I eat and when, guts hurt BAD if get really hungry, been like that since ABI. But no choc = shocking!

Muddled it does sound like stress isplaying a part often the stomach plays up in times of stress.you could try reki hugs to you

in reply torazyheath43

thx Razyheath but before any TREATMENTS I need the causes of the stresses to be removed! Treatments can't cure the causes or help me deal better with them: always in my head.

Tried reiki some years ago, didn't really like it. Plus now: SICK of being prodded, poked, 'examined', touched by so many people NOT my lover, especially doctors and 'therapists'. Two 'osteopaths' clicked my back and it's been injured/damaged ever since where it wasn't before = not worth the risk.

I like sun, sea and swimming best, they are MY treatments. But need safe home that fits me, simple easy systems and QUIET and NO STINKS. Can't even sit in garden coz CONSTANT noise, sad.

To be our best we need all the basics sorted and time/no stress for REAL rest and few things MUST do so time and energy for a few FUN things = not got that and SO need it.

That has answered a question for us too as Niki always preferred savory stuff before her accident and now its puddings all the way. She has some frontal lobe damage so now makes sense

I like the idea of the sofa bit. Have to admit to being a bit of a sofa addict. I used to avoid cheese and chocolate because they could trigger migraines for me (cheese aspecially) but now no matter what I get a daily headache so I thing well 'it ain't gonna make much difference now' so chees and choc all the way lol ;-)

Joined this thread a bit late so glad to hear hubby is OK.

Take care, oh and leave a couple of cream eggs for me to buy later ;-)
