My partner has been in TRU, Lyme House, sine September 2013. This is a most amazing place following our poor experience in a so-called rehab unit. Staff here really care and try to promote independence and real life situations. It is an amazing place and you should feel blessed to be accepted for care here

It does seem a fantastic place, I was lucky with rehab, I went to the Floyd unit in Rochdale and found it a wonderful place. They helped me find my feet again, and provided a really calm environment to promote my healing.

It is so important that the right place is found, I'm happy that you are finding TRU a good experience, there should be more places like this.

Best wishes Janet xx

Janet, I'm so pleased you had a good outcome with your rehab. I absolutely agree that there should be more places like TRU but sadly this is not the case. Young people with brain injuries deserve to have decent treatment in a relatively local place. If we did not go to Haydock, our other choices were Chester or York. (Ridiculous!)

Kind regards Sue xx
