Has pain in hand / shunt

Has anyone on here with a shunt in ever had on/off painful hand cramps . Mine started yesterday and has been happening on/off since , just wondered as on left side same as shunt . I hope this doesn't sound stupid , but thought I'd check before maybe wasting Dr's time . Thank you

I have a shunt and have been getting an on/off sharp pain where the drain line goes over my collar bone, also round the boney part of my ear on the side where my shunt is. I don't have headaches nor does the area round the drain look red. My GP said it doesn't appear to be of any concern and could just be a nerve.

Thank you mylife2014 for your reply. I also get stitch like pains in my neck which makes sense as its where I feel the tube . But was a little concerned about the hand pain, if it goes on I will go to GP .
