Yes, my daughter has an hypoxic brain injury after attempted suicvide, and was left in a coma for days, we now have her at home in a PVS, but she has never been offered any rehabilitation although she shows signs of awareness now.
What kind of homework does your cognitive therapist give you?
Relaxation therapy
Reviewing difficulties I have and how I respond to them
Reviewing my learning skills to encourage new pathways to develop in my brain I have now been referred back to my GP for referral to a neuro something (I forget what ) as it may be some of the physical problems for which no cause has been found may be neurological based to my accident
It also has been raised that a relapse in 1984 may have been caused by an accident at work when as a result of an electric shock I fell of the top is a machine luckily I fell onto a soft landing
All in all seeing the cognitive therapist was useful but it has raised other issues as mentioned in my other post I am keen to find out what damage was done to my brain 50 years ago so I can get closure.
