Vicky ; I've never heard this raised as an issue although it's a serious one, so serious in fact that you need to discuss it in detail with whichever doctor told you this. If it was your GP you should see him/her ASAP or if it was your consultant you could either arrange to see him or write to him. In the meantime it makes sense to take the necessary precautions to prevent pregnancy..........just in case............

There may yet be others here who've had direct experience of this issue but, as each case is so different, you do need to get further medical advice to be clear on exactly what he meant.

Best wishes, Cat x

I think it because of the epilepsy drugs, they do have side effects for pregnancy. There are alternatives but they might not suit you. It is something that you need to discuss with your doctor as it needs planning before you try for a baby. I dont know if having a hemorage can affect your ability to have babies, its not something i have heard of before!

I agree with the others - speak to your doctor. The GP might be able to tell you, but if not, he/she will send you to someone who can, which might be the doctor you saw before, but it might not be. You really must do it, though! It could well be that it is the drugs, but you need to know.
