Hi I have been diagnosed with vulvar cancer but because I have a secondary in my lymph nodes it can’t be operated on so am having radiotherapy. Can anyone recommend a cream to help moisturise and help the itching once I start my radiotherapy.

Regards caroline

Hi Bear,

Having had Stage 2 Vulva Cancer, surgery and Radiotherapy I am sure when you meet with your Radiotherapy Team they will advise you on what cream to use and will more than likely provide you with said creams.Wishing you well.

Julia.

Hi Julie they just said as long as it is sodium layral sulphate free. Wondered if anyone on here had used any. I’m not having surgery just chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Hi Caroline,

We are sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

When you start your treatment your therapy radiographers ( the people who you will see every day when they treat you ) will recommend creams to use and may even prescribe some for you.

Essentially its sensible to stay away from perfumed or metal based creams.

Wishing you well,

The Ask Eve Team

Hi did you ever get recommendations for creams from your md?

Desert harvest gelee can be used with an applicator internally, or externally. It has been a help to me.

Also medicine Mama’s apothecary makes bee magic and vmagic to be used externally and on vulva. Both are safe for use IMO.

Hope you are continually well **
